In the effort to increase upload speeds, some people are turning to ADSL bonding. This technique takes multiple internet connections and combines the different ADSL lines to create one single connection for business broadband. It helps users get the bandwidth that is needed at a price that can be afforded.
The need for the ADSL bonding comes back to BT and the limits placed on existing lines. Most current connections are limited to upload speeds of just 256Kb. By using bonded ADSL users are able to increase the upload speed to around 1MB with the bonding of just two lines.
It is not the perfect plan, and depending on the number of lines used to do the ADSL bonding it can get expensive. But it is the only option that some users have at the moment. Because of their location they may not be able to upgrade speeds through new and faster services that are available. This is often done as part of a Virtual Private Network.
There are a number of telecoms providers that provide ADSL bonding services, but you can also make it a do it yourself project if you are technologically inclined. There are a number of websites on the internet that can help guide you through which ever process you decide to follow.
