Baseball is really something else. It is a game essential to someone’s life. An institution the humanity came to love. And today is one of the most esteemed sports the world had ever seen.

At the moment baseball players are facing negative reviews about the use of steroids. The challenge for Major League Baseball at present is to eliminate
the use of performance enhancers in the sport. They are doing this by examining the players for signs of steroid usage. They carefully conduct these tests randomly to reduce the chances of players cheating the results.

These performance enhancers or steroids also known as roids, stackers, pumpers, and juice are responsible for the increase in performance, and even the way a person appears. Often used in weight training and sports. These substances stimulate muscle growth and may improve a person’s strength and endurance. Other kinds of affects are believed to be progress in athleticism, agility and skill.

There are also known shortcoming from performance enhancers. Substance misuse for one can create a feeling of intolerable rage. There are some effects in the improper use of this substance that are worst like sleeplessness, loss of hair, hallucination, and dizziness. Possibilities of cancer and heart problems are also a major concern. These drugs can be detected inside the body for a long period of time if used regularly.

Ball players are very used in taking these types of substances to compete well in their game. Pitchers take this enhancer to improve their chances and performance in throwing the ball, the drug is known to assist pitcher for better eye coordination in hitting there target. The great majority of these ball players are steroid users. The illegal substances are found in some players’ belongings and undeniably part of their daily routine. They are so addicted and reliant to these drugs it became more of a habit.

The earliest sign in using these substances in sports was during the 1950’s World Lifting Championship and soon evolved to baseball. The MLB was the last amongst the major sports organization that executed a complete steroid testing policy. This rule all started when a baseball player was seized for possessing nutritional supplements that contained signs of prohormones and Androstendione. Since then the MLB became stricter relating to drug induced substances particularly steroids and performance enhancer. Up to this date baseball players are still found with traces of such drugs in their body.

The problem at hand is concerning the reputation of the Institution along with the high standard of its status in the society. The unjust acts of the baseball players in the sport diminish their characters as role models to the people. The MLB must prove there dedication in implementing action against these illegal substances. The ball players should demonstrate fair practices in the sport and provide
cooperation to the league. They must learn that the only answer for a great performance is excellent training and good exercise
